Windows Defender

E

Eustace

When I start FreshDownload, a dialog appears saying:

==================
User account control

An unidentified program wants access to your computer

....
==================

I've been using this program for years. How can I tell Windows Defender
that I trust this program and that I don't want this dialog to appear again?

Thanks,

Hi,

Contact the program wroters to see if there is an updated version with
compliant code for Vista. You can't "tell" UAC (not Windows Defender) to
trust it, it must be coded correctly. It likely is not virtualizing or is
tryign to write to a protected system folder when you initialize it, and
until this behavior is changed UAC will continue to block it.
