Windows Defender update definitons

I've followed the Microsoft instructions on what to do if your definitons
have not yet been updated, but it still doesn't work. It says its connecting
to internet and then a little bubble pops up that says Windows Defender was
unable to complete the update : 0x8024402c

It also doesn't run the scan every night at 2 when it's supposed to.

Can you go to Windows Update, do an express scan, and apply all offered
updates? This should at least get you updated, and it may fix the error as
well.
