Windows Automatic Update

Where does Automatic Updated store its downloaded files?
I have an icon in my tray that says I have updates ready to be installed.
Windows Update web site says SP2 has been downloaded to my computer.
I also have the SP2 cd and would prefer to install from that.
How do I delete the SP2 download file and remove the icon from my tray?

Any help will be appreciated?
