Hello, Im trying to run this "Memoiral Tinnel Fire Ventilation Test
Program" interactive CD-ROM, it requires windows 3.1 or 95 but i'm
using windows XP pro SP-2 here. when i attempt to run the program i get

the error: "C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not
suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose
'Close' to terminate the application"

I tired all the application compatibility options but i get the same
error every time. is there another way to launch these older
applications?

okay i figured it out,

The program looks for an autoexec.bat or autoexec.nt file, and becuase
i did not have such a file in my %system root%/system32 folder, the
error came up. I copied another file with the same name that had
nothing but comments in it, and it worked, it allowed the program to
run. so if anyone else encounters this error, simply create a file with
the name that is in the error, ie. autoexec.nt
