Windows 2000 Professional PC keeps rebooting

After attempting to update windows service packs, which did not work due to
lack of space on the pc, I then tried rebooting the pc and it kept rebooting
once it got to the Windows 2000 Professional screen. Is there a way that I
can access the computer without having to reinstall the operating system.

Boot with the original CD of W2K and use the "repair" option ( press "R" to
repair)
Hope you have a emergency repair disk.
If not you will have to perferm a 'manual' repair.

If this happened after you installed Service Pack 4 (or later updates), if
you chose to archive files during the installation, you should be able to
follow the steps in Knowledge Base article 825062 Service Pack 4 Permits You
to Remove the Service Pack by Using the
(http://support.microsoft.com/?id=825062) to remove the service pack (or
update).
