windows 2000 cannot install,prompts "ACPI BIOS not compilant"

my windows 2000 cannot install,prompts ACPI BIOS not compilant.

yesterday i pluged off the data wire of the floppy disk. then when i
restarted the screen displayed "ACPI BIOS not compilant" white word on blue
background. i formatted the c:, and when i reinstalled win2000 ,the screen
prompted this ACPI error again.

my mainboard is 815E/EP. the manul says it supports ACPI.

please help me.lots of thanks.

During setup you can select the HAL to be used. See this KB article:

Select "Standard PC".

You will lose some power management functionality, but it should work.
I had to use this method on an ABIT BE6-II board which was 815 based.
