window size problem

When I am in Internet Explorer, and I open a new window by clicking on a link
in a web page ... I want it to always open in a maximized window.

Right now ... everytime I open a new browser window by clicking a link, the
window opens in a reduced size.

I can then maximize it. But after I close it ... the next time I open a
window ... it's small again.

Is there a setting somewhere that tells IE to always open links in a maximum
size window?

Try stretching the small window to full size. (Do not use Maximize)
Ensure that window is the last one closed and IE should remember the
size next time.

I've also had this problem & "stretch" the window to full size, but it
continues to happen....IE does not remember!!!!!!!

Yes but, when you do the stretch thing, when you want to minimize it, the
window will not go small, surely minimize means to make smaller No?

Ok, I understand now, I can only restore down when I have clicked the
maximize button, not stretched the window.

Thank you

Sorry, but I don't follow this. Here's my problem in a nutshell.

I open IE and my homepage displays full screen - ok. I can use the Restore
down icon to reduce the page to a small size - ok. I then maximize to bring
it up to full size again - still everything OK.

I go to another web site and the page loads full screen - perfect.

I "link" to rather than type in or select another web site and the page
comes up in the small size which I then have to maximise to bring it up to
full screen.

My ISP told me that there is a setting in IE Tools Internet Options which
controls this, but I don't see it.

Am I being completely thick as we say in the UK

Windows remembers the size of the last Normal IE window closed.
Open such a link.
Don't use the maximize button.
Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
Close all other IE windows.
Close the stretched window.

If that doesn't do it try the REG file here:
