Win2k Advanced Server OS to replacement larger HD -- HELP!

Windows 2000 Advanced Server (SP2). I need to transfer the OS (C:\*.*) to
a replacement 80-gig IDE HD. I've looked through this group, but anything
related isn't quite what I need.

I tried Ghost (v6.5) and Drive Image (v2002). Both these clone the drive
without error, but upon rebooting I get a BSOD reporting
'INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE'. I found a few articles regarding this on
support.microsoft.com, but they are geared towards instructing you how to
move the OS to new hardware, not a new hard drive in the same computer.

I've been looking for a microsoft document I used to have that directed me
to install Windows in a parallel directory on the same hard drive, then
shuffle some core files around, but I have not been able to find it again.

Has anyone ever transfered (and documented) an existing Win2k Advanced
Server installation to a new hard drive in the SAME computer?

Thanks in advance for your time and any help you are able to provide!

You would get the 7B if the controller driver werent starting, or if there
was a filter driver causing the issue (such as backup software, antivirus,
etc). What happens if you try to boot the machine from the original system
hive (located in winnt\repair)? If that boots, then you know you have a
filter driver issue on your hands.

norton website recons you should use sysprep, i think it is a known problem
to do with drivers being left installed when you just ghost it, sysprep
removes this and fixes the problem.
