upgrade NT 4.0 Ws to Win2k Advanced Server

I want to upgrade a machine from NT 4.0 Workstation to
Win2k Advanced Server.
1) is this possible - assuming the hardware is ok?
2) if it *is* possible, can it be done as a true upgrade,
without reformatting the drive?
3) what are the pitfalls, gotchas, etc?
