Win XP Pro Client Logins

How many client logins are allowed in Windows XP Pro? I
have 8 users logging into a single XP Pro server and am
noticing substantial delay on one of the client machines.
Could this be due to too many clients trying to log-in?
Should we be upgrading to Win 2003 server?

XP Pro allows 10 concurrent connections at a time. If you need more than 10
you should upgrade to a server version. There really should be no delay to
any of the ten connections, but that really depends on how your network is
setup, you may be running into bandwidth problems. But XP usually handles
them well. Make sure you have sufficient memory in the xp box(at least
512mb) if you're running it as a server. Try to do some trouble shooting
from the problem box, ping times, viri/spyware checks, running service
check, etc.. general maintenance to try to find out where the slow down is
and just when it happens.
