1) You need to have the client join the domain, if you havn't already.
You do that from My Computer | Properties | ComputerName.
You will need to supply a Domain Admin's credentials to join the domain.

2) Create user accounts on the Domain Controller.
You do that from Administrative Tools |
Active Directory Users and Computers.

3) You should now be able to log on tho the Domain
user account from the client.

4) You should buy a book on this stuff, it will help.
I used 'Mastering Windows 2000 server' by Mark Minassi to learn
about win2k domains. All the stuff applies to 2003 server too.

I think you are describing setting up roaming profiles.

It's not necessary to to this for the client to connect to
the domain, or to set up user accounts on the server
as you indicated in your original post.

I'd get a book, and start off simple.
Just get the basic Domain set up and working first.
Learn to walk befor trying to run.

You can add Roaming Profiles later.
