Win XP does not recognize D-Link DHN-520 HPNA

Steve

I have a new computer running Win XP. I took a
functional home phoneline network adapter card (DHN-520)
out of my old computer, installed it in the computer
running XP and, it does not recognize that the new
hardware had been installed.

The hardward does not show up in the device manager, or
network connections. I have tried the network card in
two different PCI slots with no luck. I have tried the
add new hardware wizard to do a manual install, but it
does not recognize that the hardware is there, so no luck
there.

According to the D-Link web site, XP has the most current
driver for this hardware included.

It's possible that the card was damaged in the process of taking it
out of the old computer and installing it in XP computer.

Does it work if you re-install it in the old computer?
