I'm running win2k pro on an intel server. I have software that that
runs instructional videos. I have two shares on the win2k server called
cms and cmsdata ( application and video data, resp. ).Win XP Pro on the
decktops that access the shares (mapped). NOW - I found that I'm
limited to a max of 10 connections to these shares on win2k Pro( my
background is mostly Linux - Win2k is still a learning curve ), and I
have 24 students showing up next Monday. Two part question:
1 -( Preferred ) Is there a ( legal ) way around the max connections
limit? I've tried everything I've seen from google searches, none of it
seems to work.
2 - ( It'll do )I ordered a copy of win 2k server. I am going to have
two users, Administrator and Student. Am I going to need seats for every
one of those 24 connections? Or do I only need a seat for each login name?
Thanks -
