RAID in Win 2k Pro

I would like to do some Win 2k Pro RAID demos in a classroom. I'm seeing
conflicting info as to whether Pro can do software RAID. It'll apparently do
striping (according to a book I have), but what about mirrored sets???

If 2k Pro can do basic this stuff, does anyone have links to instrux or
tips?

THANKS!!

No, AFAIK Win2kPro can't do anything with software RAID. Server can.

Windows 2000/XP can do software RAID 0. Neither can do any of the
fault-tolerant RAID setups.

The 2K Pro help system can pretty much lead you through the setup. Basically
alll you need to do is set up a cuppla Dynamic disks (Yuck!) and then stripe
'em.

Ditto w/ NT4. None of the workstation flavors of NTx can do fault
tolerant software RAID. That was supposed to be one of the incentives
to buy the server class OS.

Ah, ja. Thanks.

I never use software RAID for anything, so what do I know? <g>
