Win 2000 networking

Ganesh

I am using windows 2000 Professional edition atm. I have successfully been
able to network my computers. and have also enabled internet sharing.

I am also able to see the other 2 computers on my network. On my win2000
system, I am able to access the files on the other 2 computers.

BUT

When I goto My network places and double click on the windows 2000 system to
access the files..
a dialog box opens and asks for a username and password.
The only username and password I have given to the system was my initial
login... thats is all.
how do I come about this..

thanx in advance

I have the same problem. My XPHome and W2kPro PC's are
connected with a Peer-to-peer network. I can access and
share files between the 2 PC's alright. But when I want
to access files on W2k from XPHome pc for the first time,
it always asks for username and password. How can I make
it automatic and don't have to type in username and
password everytime?
