When I try to open a PowerPoint in an email, I get the "this file does not
have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an
association in the Set Association control panel. I installed from a
Microsoft "Works 9" cd, that I paid $40 for.....I have uninstalled and
reinstalled 4 times!!! Why won't it work??

I'd say it's because "Works 9" doesn't contain any program that can read a
PowerPoint document. Look carefully at the box the CD came in, or at
http://www.microsoft.com/products/works/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=003&active_tab=Features,
and you won't see any mention of PowerPoint.

You can look at (but not edit) PowerPoint files with the free viewer that
you can download at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...FamilyID=048dc840-14e1-467d-8dca-19d2a8fd7485.
