Why do icons disappear from my toolbar?

When I create a macro and put it on my toolbar, the macro disappears when a
close Word. I can not get the icon on the toolbar to save.

You don't by chance has Acrobat Writer v7 installed?

Something is preventing you from saving normal.dot. Acrobat 7?
