Why can I receive emails in outlook express but not outlook?

I recently upgraded from a dial up connection to an adsl connection. Ever
since then, I can only send and receive emails using Outlook express, and not
Outlook. Telstra claim that this is a microsoft problem, and have provided
no assistance. It appears that the inbox is the dial up account, and not the
new adsl account, of which comes with a new email address. No errors are
provided on the send and receive, and when testing the account settings, a
test email is received in the outlook express inbox.

HI
have you set Outlook as your default email client?
