E-mails not being downloaded

Hi,

I have just setup a new POP3 email account and I want to use Outlook 2003 to
send and receive emails from this account. Two other people also need to send
and receive emails from this account. I firstly added this account to my
Outlook 2003 and can successfully read all emails and send emails from this
account. I then set up the same account on 2 different computers both with
Outlook 2003. When both of these Outlook applications are restarted, no
emails are received and old emails are not anywhere to be found. The inbox of
the both applications are empty but my Outlook can receive and send all
emails. Can anyone help with this query please?

Thanks in advance.

All pop mail, for an account, is downloaded to the email client (outlook) so
will be unavailable for any other mail clients on other PC's
You can set up the account, on your PC, to leave a copy on the server, then
the other mail clients can download.
However your data file (inbox/Outbox & other folders) will not be available
to the other PC's
There are methods of syncing the outlook data file on other PC's see
www.slipstick.com for various paid for utilities

Thank you for your reply,

So if all three of us check the check box saying 'Leave a copy of messages
on the server' on each of our separate outlook applications then the messages
will stay on the server. After this, can we all then receive all message sent
to the email account? (But obviously not the previously received messages).

Thanks for the reply,

So if we all check the 'Leave a copy of messages on the server' checkbox on
each of our separate outlook applications, message from then on will be left
on the server. After this, can we all receive messages sent to this account?
(Obviously we will not all se previously received messages)
