When ignoring shouldn't need to shut down IE

I have only just found the news group so I apologize if
this has been reported but I use Messenger Plus and
choose to ignore it when found. After an automatic scan
which I have done at 2pm everyday because I know my
computer will be running, I set the program to ignore
this and it's the only threat. When I say ok it trys to
require me to close IE to clean threats but since I don't
want any threats clean I shouldn't have to close it. The
program won't let me finish any other way though.

Thanks - Others have this complaint as well. I hope that it's been heard,
and that the developers will have worked around whatever the technical basis
is for the action, in beta2.

So--I hope you'll remember this when beta2 arrives and retest it then to see
how they did.

Hi Bill & Bill :)

If you run a scan and choose to "Ignore" or "Always
Ignore" an entry and there is not anything set to be
removed then it will not close IE

It does display the message that it needs to close IE to
clean the system and gives you the 2 options yes or no,
If you choose Yes it will then show the scan is complete
and will not close Internet Explorer.

The messages need changing to make that abit clearer, IE
is only closed when you set something to Quarantine or
Remove even though the same message will be displayed for
all options ,

Regards

Andy

Thanks, Andy--I guess I've never dared say Yes when I didn't want those
windows closed!
