What is "TCPSVCS.EXE"?

What is "tcpsvcs.exe"? And why does it take my processor
to 100% when it is running. I have to disable it with Task
Manager to get my computer back to normal speed. And while
I am thinking about it, what are the minimum necessary
protocols I need running to surf and transfer files like
jpegs? What protocols should not be running?
Thanks

Hi

This is a normal process within Windows XP, perhaps this
URL can help you, IPV6 was running and caused high cpu.
This protocol is not needed.

Thanks for the tip. I followed the suggestion of
uninstalling "Microsoft TCP/IP version 6" and things
settled down nicely. Now all I need to know is what the
minimum protocols need to be running for surfing and file
transfer.
Tnanks Again

Hi

Just TCP/IP protocol is needed and also some winsock layers
but this is auto setting within XP.

From your ISP you probaly can get more infomration if
something special is needed.
