tcpsvcs.exe

For some reason when I boot up I now get a file/service called tcpsvcs.exe
running. when I look in task manager it is reported as taking all/most
resources & the CPU use is 100%. As a result everything I try to do is slow
and I get crashes. If I 'End' the process in Task manager all goes to normal
but I would very much like to track down why this program launches! I have
tried to delete the the think but it just re-appears everytime I re-boot! I
really would apprecaite any help on this!
Thanks......

It's most probably a virus or malware.

Hi Roger,

I am running one of the virus checkers but I think your 2nd post is nearer
the mark. I did a further search and came up with the same site.
The strange thing is this has never happened befoer and it literally 'Hogs'
the processor. It is a Microsoft file/program but I really don;t know what I
have done to set the damn thing off!
I will keep checking and see what I come up with.
Thanks for your help Roger!
Steve......

Steve,

It could also be a legit windows process.
Check here:

Good luck
