What happened to Aopen AMD products!

Maybe I have fallen asleep at the switch, but I wanted to see is Aopen
offered some AMD motherboards, could not see any at their site.

I know back in the day many many moons ago a lot of people liked the
brand here on the group. In fact about 4 or 5 years ago I built a pvr
using one of their socket A boards. In fact it's still in use on a
friends machine running strong.

Now I know that Aopen has been lagging for the past few years, but had
no idea they would have fallen this much. So can someone fill me in on
the story or point to some good links as to why they are the way they
are.

Just the Taiwanese business environment I think: births, marriages & deaths
as well as the usual transactions all come into play in realigning
companies. AOPen was part of the Acer group and have changed focus, just
like Benq is what used to be the Acer Peripherals group.
