What does Outlook Sending error message 0x80040109 mean?

I receive this when I click on send/receive. I receive all the messages and I
have no messages in my outbox.

If you are using Mcafee AV. Turn it off and send the
message. If no problems occur, then get an update from Mcafee.

Dear Chuck,
I am using Norton not Mcafee. Would the same apply?

Absolutely.

If that doesn't work, check to see what other Outlook add-ins you might
have (Tools -> Options -> Other -> Advanced Options... -> Add-In
Manager...). That error code means that a message has been unexpectedly
changed, and is likely the result of an add-in of some sort.
