I have a computer A as the gateway, and computer B and C connect to A
then to the internet. Both B and C connects to A via wireless. B works
fine. However, C can do ping and traceroute, but not be able to browse
the internet (except for google!!!!). I also have a http proxy server
set up on computer A. Using the proxy, computer C can browse the
internet without problem, but other tcp connection on C, such as
windows update still doesn't work. The computer C works fine on other
public wireless network, it just has problem in my personal network.
I think I already figure out that the problem is not due to the
following reasons:
1. firewall
2. dns setting, since using ip as the web address still doesn't work
Also the browser will always return the title of the web site, but will
time out later. This seems to be true for msn messenger, too.
Any suggestions? Thanks.
