web site submission on search engines

I dont see anything at Google that supports your statement about it
being bad to submit sites yourself.

Sure there's lots of stuff about links to your site and how you dont
*have* to submit it yourself -- but anything saying it is BAD to do
so? Where did you say that was?-

Well guys and Girls,
I have read everything - I now will not pay anyone to do waht I can do
myslef - however I am totally confused as whether to do it! Will have to go
through the Google stuff and see if this enlightens me! I spent too long and
the site is too big not to get it ranked well especially now it will be
translated into about 8 languages.
