Clarence

i bought a new gateway computer with windows xp with a 17"
flat monitor, i have been using win95, 15" monitor with no
problems. ok now with the new one part of my web pages
won't cover the whole monitor screen, (not all web pages)
just some, one for example is gateway home page, it leaves
about 2 or 3 inches of white blank space on each side of
the page and the fonts are not very big either. i've been
on the phone with gateway, they have had me change
settings in display , made changes in explorer 6.0 . it
has help so i can at least read the pages, but it still is
not full screen on the monitor. i hope this is not the
nature of win xp and i'm stuck with it. thanks for any
help i can get. Clarence

.

On the front of your computer screen you should see a
main button you can push to bring up a screen menu. Just
stretch the vertical and horizontal until you are happy
with the picture, then save it (if the option is there)
or refresh.

This should then show all the picture on the screen.

Clarence,

It sounds like you are using a different screen resulation
with your new moniter. Try right clicking an empty
section of the desktop, choosing properties, click on the
settings tab, and set your moniter to a lower screen
resulition.

I'm useing a 1152 x 864 resalution and am getting about
the same results as your describeing.

If you view the gateway website in 800 x 600 you will see
it looks correct.

Hope this helps,

Jonathan
