web page size

when I designed my web site on my computer it was done in this size 1261x828.
I have noticed that any one that opens my web site on their own computer if
there screen resolution is set to say 800x600 my web page is all scrunched up
on their screen.
Is there a way that I can set the web page so that it opens on any ones
screen at the right size (everything where it should be)

Posited by Rob and Patty over in
microsoft.public.frontpage.programming just a few minutes ago.

When I saw this NG name (microsoft.public.frontpage.programming) I thought
it might interest me, but when I searched for it in the Microsoft News Sever
in Outlook Express it didn't appear.

Is this the correct spelling ?

If you are using Outlook Express
Try connecting directly to the Microsoft news server using this link:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.frontpage.programming

No, there's no way to simply "set" it to do that, but you can build pages
from scratch so that the site adjusts to the user's browser window size. The
two tutorials Steve posted should help.

The other approach is to pick a fixed horizontal size for your web site and
build it at that width.

Hope that helps.

Where do I type this?
When I open the Microsoft News Server (which *is* msnews.microsoft.com), I
can type the name in
Display newgroups
but it comes up with
There are no items which match your current criteria

Cancel all that.
I tried copying the name into Internet Explorer and (miraculously) OE added
this to its list and opened the site

This is a new procedure to me.

It would be nice if I could do the same for a Google newsgroup which I read
on the web (ciwas)

Funny, I had the feeling that I should have put my conclusion (that it
worked) at the top rather than explaining what *didn't* work first ;-))
