Web Cam in Xp Home

Hi everyone!
I have a problem with a webcam, I tried to install in a notebook acer aspire
3002, my webcam is satellite wb-c12, first I execute the driver, second when
I plug the webcam windows detect it, but when start to copy files appears the
following message "data is invalid".
I searched on internet, the microsoft support (I tried so replace the .cab
in "WINDOWS\Driver Cache\i386" and change the user permissions in regedit in
the section "LOCALMACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Enum"
can someone help me? thanks and sorry for my english =)

What does the technical support for the web camera itself tell you?
