Watermarks and Graphics and Watermarks on an HP LaserJet 8100 with PCL5e driver

We are using Word 2002 and have a document which has many charts and tables
and a "Draft" text watermark. When the charts are on the part of the page
that has the watermark, the chart appears to be on top of the watermark,
i.e., portions of the word "Draft" are obliterated by the chart. This is
different than the same circumstances in WordPerfect, with which we are
familiar.

Do most Word users leave it with the chart on top of the watermark? Is
there a way to have the chart's background be transparent?

We are also seeing a problem printing the "Draft" watermark to an HP 8100
with the PCL5e driver. We only see certain characters of "Draft" on each
page, such as D F on page 1 and R T on page 2. When we switch to the PS
driver, "Draft" appears correctly. I saw this post earlier and someone
suggested printing with raster graphics on. We get the same random
character results. Is this just a driver issue? We update our drivers
frequently, so we are probably on the latest.

Any help would be appreciated.

Does the 8100 have the option to print a watermark from the printer
Properties? This might be another option (though it might have the same
effects).
