Warning Messages from Toolbar

PhooPhan

I have no idea what they are called but I get one or two error messages or
bubbles that pop-up from the lower right of my desktop. Up until yesterday
the bubble would pop up during power up and if I left it alone the bubble
would fade away. Now I get the same bubble messages but they don't go away
and I have to click the "X" to close them. One of the messages I always get
is that I have "Start-Up Programs Blocked".

I would appreciate some help getting these back to the way they worked before.

Hi,

That particular message is caused by blocking programs from loading at
startup by either msconfig or windows defender and is normal. Anytime you
employ these tools to block a program rather than use the program's own
settings this will happen. The solution would be to use the program's own
settings to prevent them from loading, otherwise it will continue trying to,
and Vista's tools will keep working to block it.

An error message popup will stop occuring once you've addressed the cause of
the error, and as I can't see them from here, you're going to have to tell
us what they say and which icon they are coming from.
