vpn access

I just started getting the following error and warning
messages on my vpn server (win2k server):

event id 20106
Unable to add the interface {37B59A2B-25C0-482B-8F7B-
9C86C0F2D4DD} with the Router Manager for the IP protocol.
The following error occurred: Cannot complete this
function.

event id 20192
A certificate could not be found. Connections that use the
L2TP protocol over IPSec require the installation of a
machine certificate, also known as a computer
certificate. No L2TP calls will be accepted.

Clients are receiving a 781 error message when trying to
connect.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Make sure that the router and remote access is started and go into the Remote Access
Management Console, select the server, right click and select all tasks - restart to
see if it helps and if it does not try rebooting the server. Verify that the network
adapter is enabled in network connections and view ipconfig /all to view the status
to see if it looks correct. If you are using l2tp for vpn, then you need a computer
certificate for the server which would be found using the mmc certificates snapin for
computer. --- Steve
