volume control

i checked sounds and audio devices and i clicked on place volume icon in
taskbar but this mesage appear windows cannot display volume control because
volume control has not yet been install. I dont know what happened to my
computer but one day suddenly volume control disappeared even though i had
had this computer for 3 yrs, it happened like a week ago please help me.

If you get this error:
Windows cannot display the volume control on the taskbar because the Volume
Control program has not been installed. To install it use Add/Remove
Programs in Control Panel.
