Voice Using Linksys Router

I have a Linksys Router BEFSR41. I'm not sure of the
version number as I don't know how to check it. I'm using
the latest Firmware and the latest version of MSN
Messenger. I followed Microsoft's Technet's instructions on
enabling UPnP, but I still can't get voice to work. The
webcam works fine, but voice does not work. I can't hear
them, and they can't hear me. We can transfer files just
fine though.

Do I have to set up a static ip?
Do I have to forward ports?
Do I have to do port triggering?

I thought that all I had to do was enable UPnP?

Thanks alot for any help!

Which Operating System are you using?

If you use Windows XP, try disabling "QoS Packet Scheduler".

You can find this in the properties of your network card.

Port forwarding and port triggering don't change anything for msn messenger
with your Linksys router!

@Michael: Did you have to do anything else? Like setting up a static ip, port triggering, or port forwarding?
So all you did was enable UPnP?

Thanks.

I also have a linksys router and posted a similar complaint in a previous
post. Try this link Bob gave me.After following the instructions, I got
voice to finally work. I am running WinMe and it wasn't enough to enable
UPnP.
Good luck,
Dee
