Visual C++ error

Every other time I try to open my Outlook I get an error.
the error window states, "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime
Library. Runtime Error! This aplication has requested the
Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way." If I try to
open Outlook again, no error occurs. What exactly is
Visual C++? How do I correct the error?

Hi Jim,
have you installed any Add IN?
please deactivate them and try again.
