Vista Ultimate Upgrade Isuues

Hi,

i recently upgraded my XP MC to Vista Ultimate and have come across various
issues. ( prior to this, i had a Vista Beta running separately on a partition
and did not get the errors ).

Very slow
Graphic Issues
When i plug in my external HD, i get a message " Parameter is incorrect "
When i plug in my memory stick i get a message " Parameter is incorrect "
infact, if i plug any type of storage facility in i get the same message.
( i never got this on the beta version ).
when i try and install drivers for any storage facilty, i get a message "
Dcom has stopped working, windows will shut down in 1 minute ". this then
carries on for about 5-6 restarts then sorts itself out.
Graphics keep failing and re-starting though my laptop is Vista compatible.
The new Office 2007 is reeaallly slow. I mean slooooowwww... m beta 2
version was good bt again, that was on the Beta Vista.

i am using Sony Vaio FE28H with 160GB, 1026Mb Ram, Dual Core 1.6Mhz
processor, Nvidia GeForce 7400 Graphics card and my rating is 3.3 so it
should be ok i thought.

Are these errors because i upgraded not re-installed? i upgraded because
there are alot of programs installed and it takes along time to re-configure
a PC. When i was using the Beta, i never had these issues an i thought things
are supposed to get better. Does anyone have any thoughts? shold i just
Re-install? Are these issues just because i upgraded?

regs,

Nigel
