Vista RC1 iso disappears

First of all, I would have posted this as a question but pptredirect.aspx
simply pops up and makes clicking noises in my browser. Here is my problem
though. I downloaded RC1 to the Documents folder using the Akamai
downloader. The download finished and verified the download, but I go to the
Documents folder and there is no vistayadayadayda.iso file. I even run a
search and nothing comes up. I list the directory in the command prompt, no
iso file. However, if I go back to download the file again using the Akamai
downloader and the Save As dialog box pops up and I choose Save In:
Documents, the vista.iso file is listed in Documents. If I click save it
asks me if I'm sure I want to overwrite the file.

Sorry for the double post. Once again when I tried to post the asp page says
error, unable to post at this time. A member of the Operations Team will be
notified. Does this happen to anyone else?

It is a bug with the web-based newsreader, try using Outlook Express or
JetBrains Omea Reader.

Ryan,
Had the same problem downloading Pre RC1. Vista puts the file in the
temporary internet files in a virtual folder. From memory it was
c:\users\jonty\documents\default\appdata\temporary internet
files\c\user\virtualisation\then showed the iso.

I tried all sorts to get to it. Turned off UAC, hidden files and system
files to no avail. Pulled out an old 80GB HDD, loaded XP and set the Vista
drive as a slave. Found the file okay and burnt it.

I bugged this to MS. Bloody UAC is too aggressive in this instance. Hey!
it's my bloody machine and I should be able to get to my files.

When I went to download RC1, I tried to select a different folder. Vista had
other ideas, but then, so did I. Turned off UAC, rebooted and downloaded
successfully to my folder of choice. Then turned on UAC.
