Oh, this should be good for a laugh. Tell us exactly, and in detail, why
Microsoft changed the EULA.

One day this guy named crispy complained and they changed it.......

Really? Better tell that to the people in the Ubuntu forums who ended
up with hosed systems after doing an upgrade from 6.06 to 6.10.

(snip)

Ooooooooooh, so some few linux users have felt the pain that billions of MS
users have suffered multiple times after automatic updates that hosed the OS
in some fashion.

DITTO! ::highfive!::

You don't get it do you? Because of the way gates runs his buisness, it
still exist, anyone else experiencing this kind of piracy would be long
since out of buisness.

Unless they truly ran their business like microsoft

:) He accuses you of having no life, yet he's the one who spends all his
time trolling these news groups trying to impress people with his
self-styled take on all things both technical and otherwise.

Disagree with him and face his wrath.

Oh, and don't forget, the JADtroll knows exactly what's good for you. You
don't.

Good judgement comes with experience.
Unfortunately a lot of that comes from bad judgement.

Thanks for the recognition. Rod should be licking my boots for the
extraordinary lenghts I went to to get the EULA changed. He's an ingrate.

Why not? The license only specifies that the builder is responsible for
supporting the hardware and software. I have no problem with that. I
wouldn't expect anybody at Microsoft to be able to help me with Microsoft
software, anyway. :)

I've seen one person post at HardOCP that they were refused activation of
OEM XP. He did get it activated by calling back and talking to someone else
but with retail upgrade XP I don't have to be concernedd about that ever
happening. An extra twenty bucks is nothing to me.
