Virtual memory custom size not working!

Any help with this is appreciated.

I have a couple of machines running XP Pro SP2.

I went in and set a custom page size of 1024MB. However, a couple of
machines show the size as 768 currently allocated.

I have tried deleting the page file, rebooting and resetting, but I get
the same results. The page file always shows 768, no matter how i try
to make it larger.

Both machines have large HD's with plenty of free space.

Suggestions?

In properties,set in "custom" or let windows manage,then you must
click "set" 2X,otherwise youre adjustments wont take place.
