When I try and follow the instructions to put video into powerpoint, it
returns the error message:

video not available cannot find 'vids:xvids' decompressor

I can view the video through the media player.

Do you have any ideas? Please return me!!!

This is basically saying that your computer does not have a 'codec' called
xvids.

It need this to uncompress and display the movie.

Visit

download the free trial and it should convert your movie to something that
powerpoint will quite happily play.
