I use Windows XP and the person I'd like to chat with uses Windows 98. I've
successfully had a video/voice chat with some else using XP, both on Windows
messenger. However, when I try to connect to my friend on Win98 using MSN
Messenger 6, the video won't connect. Gives an error like "the remote
computer can't do conference because they need at least messenger 4, audio
card, etc."
Does anyone know what that doesn't work?
On a separate note: I downloaded MSN Messenger 6 and used it instead of
Windows messenger, and now it connects the video fine. But now there's no
voice! The voice doesn't connect, it gives the error "the remote user
cancelled the voice" but on their screen it says there was an error on my
side. if he initiates the voice, the error messages are flipped around.
What the problem??
