Vendio "Search Settings" Script is running

I recently installed some shareware, which also unknown to me (no
lectures please) installed a program from Vendio Services Inc. called
SearchSettings.exe. It was a noxious program that would change my
default browser search engine to Yahoo; it was constantly running, and
would change it immediately after I changed it back to google.

Anyway, I force uninstalled this program (not going through the proper
Add/Remove). Now ever time I click on My Computer, the control panel, or
other system related icons, it runs a script trying to configure my
search settings. I have to cancel a bunch of times in order to even get
through the My Computer icon (or any others). Essentially it is
searching for the program that I deleted. I cannot find the program
online, to reinstall and uninstall, and I tired reinstalling the
shareware, but I think it thinks SearchSettings.exe is still on my
computer because it does not reinstall that part of the program (it is
still in Add/Remove, but of course I cant remove it because it tries to
"reconfigure" my search engine settings when I try to uninstall, and it
cannot do that because the program is not there....)

Does anyone have any idea where this script might be running and/or how
to find it and delete it? I would really appreciate it. Thanks

On the start menu/.../system tools/ you will find an icon to run IE with No
Add-Ins. If that works, use the tools menu, "Manage Add-ons" to remove that.
