vcd or svcd

i have done a small video to give out to potential customers but should
i use svcd or vcd. svcds work on my cheap £25 dvd player but a lot of
sites say that many players wont take svcds. How common is this. i dont
really want to lose the quality by using vcds but i dont want to send
out discs that people cant play.

take a disc to your local DVD player store and try it in a number of new
ones...

PJ's suggestion is a good one, you can also try to find the make and model
of the players being used and check out www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers
VCDs are a little more compatible than svcd, but you may still get problems.
Could always put a note in saying if it doesn't play oin your dvd layer, use
a pc?

I have decided to use dvds, the extra quality and compatability are
worth the small price increase.
