To do DOS, real DOS, boot from a floppy disk.

Assuming that you installed an official version of GHOST, it will help you
make a bootable floppy. Read the GHOST manual; it is pretty good. In GHOST
2003 this is under utilities and called a boot wizard. Earlier version of
GHOST had the same concept, but called it different things.

Note that you may need to provide a bootable floppy (without GHOST) to feed
the GHOST wizard. It will try to use its own version of DOS (not a
Microsoft product). If that fails to boot your PC, click the box for MS DOS
and provide an MS DOS floppy. XP can create such a floppy as an option
under format. (Be sure to format a floppy, not a hard drive.) Otherwise,
download a floppy image from www.bootdisk.com.

Of course, to boot from a floppy, your computer's BIOS must be set to boot
from floppy before hard drive. Check your motherboard manual (or PC
detailed manual, usually a PDF file, not paper) for details on how to access
the BIOS setup.
