file copy error

when i try to copy file from my CD-ROM it dosent copy
and "INVALID DOS command" message flash on my screen. i
have also tried to copy through ms-dos mode but it not
copy my file.
also i want to now how can i run winfile in winxp.
plese help.

Hi,

This looks like a Hardware problem in CD Rom Drive. Try running an audio CD
and see if it works fine. Also check if the CD Rom Drive Cable is connected
properly. If the CD Rom Drive is working fine then check & Reinstall CD Rom
Drivers.

To check the CD Rom Drivers.
Right Click on My Computer -> Select Properties -> Select Hardware -> Click
on Device Manager Button -> Right Click on DVD/CD-ROM Drivers -> Select
Uninstall.
Select Action on Menu -> Click Scan for Hardware Changes (This will Search
for new hardware and install).
