Using Outlook 2003 with Word (2000 or 2003) for E-newsletters

I have been creating e-newsletters by pasting a Word 2000 document into a
Outlook 2000 or Outlook Express 6 HTML screen and sending the product to
subscribers, without any problems. However, now that I've upgraded to all
2003 products, I'm having problems.

Now that I'm using the 2003 products I find that the although the Word item
copied and pasted into the Outlook HTML screen looks fine before I send it,
it looks horrible when it reaches the subscriber's email address.

The pictures are missing (clipart) or they are stored in a zip file
attachment, and not seen directly in the email. Also, the text, which appears
centered originally, winds up appearing off-center in the email. This happens
with Juno (clipart is replaced with three or four square symbols) and AOL
subscribers (text is centered, but clipart is in zip file attachment).
Hotmail subscribers usually don't have any problems.

Do I need to change my settings?

FYI I have Windows XP.

Any help would be appreciated!

Place the entire newsletter in a table that is 600 pixels
in width. Arrange your images in table cells. Your images
must reside on a server. Their location must be a real URL
such as this:
http://www.anthemwebs.com/images/happy_new_year.gif

If the recipient only receives text messages, you can't do
anything about that.

Thanks for your help, Chuck! I also found it helpful to turn off the "Use
Word 2003" as editor" under Options in Outlook before creating the
e-newsletter. That way all of the problems that I had when Word was the
editor either disappeared, or could be fixed before sending out the
e-newsletter.
