Using 2 video cards

I have a laptop running win2k with a built-in nvidia video
card. I also purchased an nvidia dual head card for the
docking station to be able to used multiple monitors while
docked. When docked, I disable the on-board card in
the "docked" hardware profile and tell the system bios to
used the "dock video". I then install the correct dirvers
for the dual head card and everything works great.

Then, I undock the computer and now win2k does not
recognize the on-board card. Even though they are both
nvidia cards, the drivers are not compatible. I reload
the drivers for the on-board card and everything is
fine....until I need to dock again.

The problem is that even though the drivers are not
compatible, they have identical filenames, even though
they are different versions.

My question (finally)is how can I make both cards coexist
when all the drivers want to install to the same
directory, and subsequently write on top of each other
every time they are installed?
