URL Webshare

Hi,
I've been using FP since the 98 version, updated with 2000 and now went with
2003 When I first started, P set up a personal webserver where I saved all my
webs. E:\WEBSHARE\WWWRoot\(web name)
I have to publish from my webserver to my hard drive, but the program keeps
asking for my local url. I guess I'm confused as to what description to
check when the destination page comes up. Is the personal web, not a web? Do
I just publish as a file? Any advice?

If you're running a server (like IIS) then you'd publish to
http://localhost/<webname> if you aren't running a server then you publish
to a folder on your Hard Drive, ex: C:\myweb

Besides changing your version of FP, I am guessing you also
have changed your OS a few times. Windows 98 amongst other
OSs had the PWS which would work, and it is one of the
installation options through either the OS or through
certain versions of FP
Most newer versions of Windows do not support the PWS. The
NT cored systems (NT4, 2000, XP, 2003) in workstation or
server variants have IIS as one of the installation options,
which will work with FP (or EW). You would configure the IIS
to where your site is located on your hard drive. You could
then publish to 'localhost', 127.0.0.1, or your IP address.
