Hi,
I ran into an issue with IE:
if I type an address into address bar without including "http://" prefix,
e.g. "maps.yahoo.com", not "http://maps.yahoo.com" there is an almost
1-minute delay between typing in the address and hitting enter or clicking Go
and IE serving the content of the website. If I type the full URL, including
the "http://" prefix, IE responds immediately. Usually typing an address
without including the http:// is not a problem on all other machines I worked
with. This is restricted to only one machine, and this computer otherwise
works fine. I reset all the IE settings to default.
I used a sniffer to monitor the traffic from that machine. It`s not sending
anything for the duration of delay between entering an address and IE`s
"decision" to go get it - it just waits a minute, then starts resolving DNS,
etc.
Very weird and annoying... I`d appreciate any feedback or pointers to
potential cause.
Thanks very much in advance.
