URGENT : black screen after start up

i accidentaly did a system recover i believe, and turned off the computer
before it did anything. when i restarted the computer i saw it starting up
then once it passed the windows loading screen it goes black. if i enter my
password i can hear it start but it stays black. when i re-start again in
safe mode it doesnt do anything.

please help

You will need to try safe mode command prompt and run system restore from
there. When you start your computer tap the F8 key repeatedly and this
should get you to a menu which will have safe mode at the top and other
entries below. Use safe mode command prompt which is the most basic but
should allow you to run sysytem restore. Your mouse wont work so use the
keyboard arrows to move through the various selections. Here is the command
you need to type when you get to the command prompt.

%systemroot%\system32\restore\rstrui.exe

Below is a microsoft document which should explain. If you get to the
command prompt but typing the command doesn't work you will probably have to
restore your computer. Repost if you need more info. Try what I said and
repost if it doesnt work.
